dreams part one

Passion: a noun used to described intense feeling of emotions or drive.
the past few days and over the weekend have got me thinking. Just what is passion? who has it? and why are some more passionate than others?

Have you ever had a dream? and i dont just mean any kind of dream. have you ever wanted something so bad that you would do anything to get what you want? Have you ever had a wish so bad that it consumes ever part of your being? Through out history there have been people pursuing their dreams. Some of us wake every morning hoping we will defy our own as well as societal expectations, some of us just want to get through the day and are caught off guard by implications that come with the realization of our dreams. But whether you are a dream maker, a dream chaser, or a dream catcher it all is so important. perhaps what is equally important it the passion that comes with those dreams. Recently these past few days my heart has been a little sad. Jefferson Thomas was a believer in a dreams. He wanted nothing more than to get the same educational opportunities as his peers. he would undergo persecution, hatred, all for the goals of freedom and equality. As a member of the little rock 9 he changed the world. Now most of us are not dreaming about fighting segregation or injustice but I question if what the dream is about really matters. (of course it matters that integration became part of our culture)But really its bigger than that. It is life is about seeing that you can achieve your goals, you can do great things.
Im a dream chaser i always have been. Others would be out running around and i would be planning whatever big adventure was going to come my way next. Just me but I am never satisfied. there is always that quest for more. I am also forever the optimist. Recently, I was having a conversation with someone and we talking about being an optimist verses being a realist. Id like to think I am both. I believe it is both. Here is real talk straight from me: You should be confident that you deserve to have all of your dreams come true. You deserve blessings and all the world. Why? because you were made in the image of god. and for all of you who think feel or say that you are just average you dont deserve good things and your dreams realized. Let me tell you something. God created you. And the Ruler the maker the all the universe doesnt do average. Mediocre is not the style of the One who created the son the moon and the stars. Because you are a miracle you should expect miracles and expect that god will use you and bless you and give you opportunities to make the best possible life with yourself.
Do you think the Oprah's of the world got to where they are by feeling mundane or average? Do you think that when the vikings (lol) go to the Superbowl they are just hoping to pass the ball and not score. Leaders, activists, and heroes are created by a love and belief in the self (and God)
Look maybe you wont be in the Superbowl, maybe you wont have a television channel all to yourself. But whether your dream is to go to school, be an actress, an author, make the show, the team, be a humanitarian or a good mother or father, whatever go for it.
The next time you are up to bat why not aim for hitting it out of the park? You just may be pleasantly surprised. Its time we all took some time for some passion and to dream.
